Scouting is my Passion!

I am an Eagle Scout, having earning scouting's highest honor as a youth. When my son's became old enough to join cub scouts, I was recuited to be the cub master, which I did for almost 10 years. As a cub master, I often told stories and staged ceremonies that the boys would remember for years to come. This reputation caused me to be invited to other units in the area to perform ceremonies for them. Over the years I have literally awarded over a thousand Arrow of Light badges and participated in countless Eagle Scout Court of Honors (including my eldest son - my younger son is still in scouts).

I am now the Committee Chair of our scout troop and have been working with the boy scouts (rather than the cub scouts) for about 15 years. I continue to do Native American storytelling, playing the Native American Flute, and conducting ceremonies for scout units of all ages. I have been through training at Philmont and done my Wood Badge. You might say that scouting really is my passion. From hiking and camping, to being a merit badge counselor, I have gained a lot of experience that allows me to know what types of products are really useful to others.
